- Abstract
This article focuses on a study related to stress in the families of children with neuromuscular disease. Health, personal relationships, integrity of the family, and finances may become strained, and opportunities for personal development may be limited. The Questionnaire on Resources and Stress (QRS) was developed to evaluate the effects of such a patient on the family. The QRS was administered to parents of 18 cbildren with neuromuscular disease who were contacted either in the waiting room of the UCLA Muscle Clinic or through the mail by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
