The contribution deals with the history of an unknown noble residence located in the village of Eš in the Pacov region. Eš used to be an independent manor in the Middle Ages before it was merged with the neighbouring manor of Kámen during the 17th century. The small chateau itself did not appear in archival sources until the 1870s. At first it belonged to the noble owners of neighbouring Kámen, but in more recent times, its owners were several families of non-noble origin.
