- Abstract
The article deals with the low or lack of access to cancer drugs among people in developing or low-income countries. It relates the unavailability or unaffordability of cancer drugs for many patients in low-income nations. It discusses the efforts and programs launched by charitable groups such as Cancer Patients Aid Association in India, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and local health authorities to improve the access to cancer drugs. It describes how clinical trials are helping to bring drugs to small numbers of patients.
