- Abstract
In the last five years in Colombia, the pineapple crop grew by 49% due to the implementation of technological packages that increase the production and yield of Golden Pineapple. To produce this variety, fertilization plans that include soluble chemical sources in high quantities are needed. The objective of this trial was to evaluate the effect of the application of mineral fertilizers and functional microorganisms in the vegetative and productive stage of the pineapple (Ananas comosus) crop in Carepa, as a supplement to chemical fertilization. The trial was conducted at the Ecological and Agro-environmental Studies Department of the University of Antioquia (Carepa). The experimental design was a completely randomized design (CRD); an area of 210 m2 was established with 13 experimental irrigations; in nine of them, three treatments were applied with three replications (T1: mineral fertilizer, T2: microorganism + mineral fertilizer and T3: control). The variables evaluated were number of leaves per plant, plant weight, leaf length D and fruit weight. The vegetative stage was evaluated at six and nine months after planting. An ANOVA was performed, and the means were compared with Tukey's test in the Python statistical program. The treatments did not show significant differences in the vegetative and reproductive stages. Therefore, it is concluded that, in pineapple, mineral and biological fertilization has no effect on the growth and production of pineapple.
