- Abstract
This article reports that a bill designed to improve the rights of medical care personnel has passed to the committee stage of the House of Commons in Great Britain. The bill was brought forward by Hywel Francis, who dubbed it "Sam's Bill" in the memory of his disabled son. Covering England and Wales, the bill, ensures that medical care personnel are systematically given information about their rights, and places an obligation on health and social services to consider medical care personnel's wellbeing and health needs.
