- Abstract
This article focuses on introduction of plant molecular biology section in the journal, Plant, Cell and Environment. Plant physiology is constantly changing and the pace of change has accelerated most excitingly in the last few years with the advent of immensely powerful techniques for investigating processes at the molecular level. The objective is not only to provide a resting place for basic molecular studies concerned with the structure and mechanics of the genome and its expression, but to offer a vehicle for the presentation of molecular biology applied towards the understanding of physiological questions. The task is undertaken by researcher Donald Grierson, University of Nottingham Department of Physiology and Environmental Sciences.
