- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the oncogenic potential of human B-lymphoid tyrosine kinase (Blk). Cytokine interleukin-3 (IL-3)-dependent lymphoid cell line (Ba/F3) was transfected with plasmids expressing either constitutively active form of Blk or wild-type (wt) Blk. The results show that the active form of human Blk is sufficient and able to transform cytokine-independent cells from cytokine-dependent lymphoid cells.
