- Abstract
By kinetoprophylaxy and therapeutic swimming (not restrictively) and a good education of a correct posture, kyphotic attitudes can be prevented and/or eliminated, so as to contribute to the increase and harmonious development of the young generation. All these measures may give good results, but they should also endeavour to maintain their health, paying attention to their posture and sitting correctly during classes. Considering that these cases are increasingly frequent, we have focused on studying and investigating the treatment for this disease which is found in different environments, due to different causes. The conducted research set as its main objective to assess the extent to which basic kinetoprophylaxy and therapeutic swimming, associated with patient's awareness of the need to maintain a correct attitude will lead to rebalancing the tone of the imbalanced muscle groups and which result in deficient attitudes. Obviously, in order to achieve such an objective, it was necessary to pass through a series of secondary objectives, such as: Examining and evaluating a larger number of children, in order to identify those who reported kyphotic attitudes due to muscle imbalances;Identifying the most effective ways in which we can achieve awareness and practice the correct position for children. Hypotheses: It is assumed that, the use of means of kinetoprophylaxy, with subjects presenting kyphotic attitudes due to muscle imbalances, can cause muscle tone rebalancing and attitude correction. It is assumed that, associating kinetoprophylaxy with therapeutic swimming and with posture awareness and control, may contribute to correcting the deficient attitude, and, thus, to preventing any shortcomings in the spinal column. Conclusions: The exercises to correct kyphotic attitudes, properly adapted and performed, within the framework of a consistent program, determine the functional rebalancing of the groups muscle on the front and back of the torso and, implicitly, the correction of the spine alignment. Therapeutic swimming, using only corrective exercises and procedures and not enhancing the dorsal kyphotic curve, has also contributed to restoring the functional balance of the muscle groups and correcting the kyphotic attitudes.
