- Abstract
The article discusses research which evaluated the possible application of laser capture microdissection (LCM) for mapping of regional gene expression within the cranial suture. Topics discussed include the isolation of discrete cell populations for gene expression analysis by LCM, the isolation of coronal sutures from 10-day-old wild-type and craniosynostotic (CS) New Zealand white rabbits, and the efficacy of LCM as tool for measuring regional variations in cranial suture gene expression.
