- Abstract
This study aimed to explore A'Sharqiyah university student's attitudes towards distance education during the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), using the equalappearing intervals method of Thurston, where the study sample consisted of (410) male and female students from A'Sharqiyah University in the Sultanate of Oman during the academic year 2019/2020, The results indicated to the degree of attitudes towards distance education was medium, with an average of (5.92) with a percentage (54%), as are the results was show of statistically significant differences in the degree of attitudes towards distance education Attributed to the variable of sex and for the benefit of males, and the variable of the academic year in favor of the first year, and the variable of specialization for the benefit of humanities colleges, and recommendations were proposed that include strategies to improve the level of distance education In universities and in many areas, including: teaching, evaluation, qualification and training, planning, and motivation.
