- Abstract
The civilization of states is reflected in their cities, streets, buildings and facilities. In this study, the researcher measured the quality of the artistic works carried out in the schools of the intermediate stage in Makkah, where the sample consisted of eight male schools selected by a simple random method. The researcher designed a questionnaire as a research tool and distributed to specialists in the field of art education in five Saudi universities selected randomly. Results were statistically processed and the researcher reached the following: 1- The art works do not match the objectives of the curriculum of art education. 2- The study environment is contaminated visually by artistic works that do not contribute to the educational process. 3- The works of art carried out are void of structural elements and aesthetic values. The researcher concluded a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: - A unit concerned with cultural preparation and awareness should be included to preserve the school environment. - The need to pay attention to the school environment and internal and external aesthetic facades where students learn the concept of aesthetic environment. Suggestions include: - - Developing a technical and cultural program for teachers dedicated to the care of the aesthetic environment of the school. - Setting specialists to technical standards for the work carried out in schools. - Forming specialized committees in the fields of Arabic language and art education to supervise all projects of the technical school.
