- Abstract
An essay on the comparison between history and poetry is presented. philosopher Aristotle's views on poetry and history are also discussed. Aristotle thinks poetry to be more philosophical than history. The author relates poetry to art, fiction and universality. Author thinks SØren Kierkegaard not only a philosopher and theologian but also a writer and his work as fiction. Aristotle's views on Kierkegaard as a poet are also discussed. Author also call Kierkegaard "late Romantic" writer who made justice to both universality and particularity in his work.
