- Abstract
The article examines a study which improved the delivery and activity of a previously described RNA aptamer-small interfering RNA (siRNA) conjugate directed against prostate cancer. The issues to be addressed by any approach to systemic delivery of siRNA include the delivery of intact siRNA to a particular target organ or cell type. In the study, researchers minimized the length of the aptamer to facilitate chemical synthesis and redesigned the siRNA portion of the conjugate to enhance activity and specificity.
