- Abstract
The article discusses the land dispute between Nigeria and Cameroon over the Bakassi Peninsula in the African continent that was addressed by the International Court of Justices (ICJ). ICJ was designated in 1946 as the institution to play an important legal role in the resolution of border conflicts among United Nations member states. This entry also includes the history of the Bakassi Peninsula and the dispute, the disposition of the court and the significance of the ruling.
