- Abstract
The article investigates the prevalence and characteristics of headaches in veterans with mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) and to determine the most common treatment strategies after neurological evaluation. Among veterans who cited experiencing headaches, 38 percent were referred to neurology. Of those attending evaluation, 45 percent were diagnosed with migraine headaches and 20 percent with chronic daily headaches. Triptans were the most commonly used abortive agents.
