- Abstract
The article offers the insights of Myfanwy Hill, a veterinary surgeon and a Wellcome Trust research training fellow at the University of Cambridge's Department of Clinical Neuroscience, on her experiences embarking on a doctor of philosophy (PhD) career in veterinary medicine. She describes her experiences selecting and pursuing a research project in neurology and neuroscience, and applying for research funding. She also mentions her research into fruit fly genetics which was unsuccessful.
