- Authors
Shiell, Martha M.
- Abstract
The article discusses tonotopic organization of V5/MT+ region of the brain in people with congenital anopthalmia and its significance for auditory motion processing and metamodal reorganization. It explores a study which uses functional magnetic resonance imaging and compared auditory processing in six blind adults with congenital anopthalmia, a medical condition in which the eye did not develop. Topics include tonotopy, sound localization, and functional structure of brain.
