- Abstract
This article reports on Acadian French-speaking populations in Nova Scotia, Canada. Topics discussed in the article include the characteristics of Acadians living in the Maritime provinces of Canada, the history of Acadians in Canada, and the results of an analysis of the language patterns of different Acadian populations. The author also discusses how the English language has affected the Acadian areas in Canada, his experiences during his three trips to the region in 2005, 2007 and 2010, as well as the anthropological aspects of the Acadian people and their language.
