- Abstract
To study the inflammatory activities of lanostane-type triterpenes in Inonotus obliquus, the extracts of I. obliquus were chromatographed repeatedly to obtain the lanostane-type triterpenes contained. The structures of the compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis (1H NMR, 13C NMR and MS) and their physicochemical properties. And their anti-inflammatory activities were observed in mice with ear edema induced by xylene and with peritonitis induced by xylene. 3 lanostane-type triterpenes were isolated from the extracts of L obliquus and they were identified as lanosterol (1), inotodiol (2) and trametenolic acid (3) respectively. Lanosterol (1), inotodiol (2) and trametenolic acid (3) inhibited significantly ear edema in mice produced by xylene at 10 mg/kg. Lanosterol (1) and inotodiol (2) reduced remarkably vascular permeability at 10 mg/kg. Lanosterol (1), inotodiol (2) and trametenolic acid (3) are all anti-infalmmatory compounds, among which trametenolic acid (3) is the most active.
