- Title
US identifies "most dangerous" chemical plants.
- Abstract
The article reports on the suggestion by the Centre for American Progress (CAP) that chemical facilities classified as the most dangerous should consider using less dangerous alternative chemicals or changing their processing routes to reduce the risk of an accident or terrorist attack. The "Chemical Security 101" lists facilities which put 1 million or more nearby residents at risk. It was shown that chlorine is the most dangerous chemical used at the facilities, followed by hydrosulphuric acid and sulphur chemicals.
