Kashagan dispute ends.
Abstract
The article reports that after 15 months of negotiations, the Kashagan oil field dispute has ended with Kazakhstan arranging an early production agreement and its state-oil company KazMunaiGas doubling its equity share to 16.81%. Kashagan's production delays and increasing costs threatened to shelve the oil project. The project consortium which includes ConocoPhillips, Eni, ExxonMobil, Inpex, Shell and Total settled for a reduced share to resolve the conflict.
