Sasol, Shenhua plan oil-from-coal JV.
Abstract
The article reports on the partnership of South Africa's Sasol with Chinese coal firm Shenhua to produce 160,000 barrel per day of motor fuel. Under the agreement, two coal-to-liquid facilities will be constructed, one in Shaanxi province in Northwest China and the other in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. According to Sasol Chief Executive Officer Pat Davies, the facilities are expected to commence production in 2016.
