Title
Technology eases pain.
Abstract
This article looks at a study conducted by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in February 2003, which found that technology could help alleviate work force shortages in the U.S. healthcare industry. Fifty-two percent of survey respondents said technology would have a great deal of impact on staffing shortages. Nearly half of respondents believed that re-evaluating workflow processes was the best way to reduce staffing shortages.
