The article provides information on the development of a new meridic diet. It states that the diet is formulated to support the development of hylobius transversovittatus and cyphocleonus archetes larvae, two beneficial root-feeding weevils which are significant for biological control of invasive weeds. The said diet is used to rear the red palm weevil known as Rhynochophorus ferugineus Olive and it also support the development of other root and stem feeding insects.
