- Abstract
The article focuses on a spatial analysis and statistics performed on data provided by the Fire and rescue Services of Queensland on malicious hoax calls and false fire alarms. The analysis studied the impact of such hoaxes on the finance of the society and also studied the pattern of these malicious attempts. The aim of the study was to understand the pattern of fire events to prevent increase in such hoaxes. It further informs that crime has distinct and disguisable spatial dimensions and neighbourhood near criminogenic places are likely to experience more crime.
