- Abstract
The article presents a management research brief of the study "Work strain, health and absenteeism: A meta-analysis," by Wendy Darr and Gary Johns, investigating absenteeism and its potential relationship to workplace strain. An overview of the methodology and results of the meta-analysis research survey is provided, pointing out the secondary relationship between physical and psychological symptoms caused by work strain and increasing absenteeism. Discussion is also given regarding forms of absenteeism rehabilitation practices.
