- Abstract
The article offers information on traditional conservation of forests by tribal people in Arunachal Pradesh, India. It states that two ethnic groups in the state including Monpa and Sherdukpen have developed their own culture and customs to protect the plant species in the surrounding forests. It further states that village panchayat look into the matters of violating rules associated with forest products so that they can conserve their surrounding nature.
