Rogers, Robert
- Abstract
The author relates his experience of attending the 60th annual conference of the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (AMTNYS) in Fredonia, New York with his friend and co-teacher Jamar Pickreign. They discussed the banquet presentation of James Rubillo, AMTNYS gala speaker, who explained that there are cases where a representative sample is better than a census. The author suggests that assessment should stick to one objective, with census as a better measure of individual ability.
