- Abstract
The article discusses the Saratoga Floral Parade and Carnivals in Saratoga Springs, New York state during the 19th century and the 1900s, often referencing printed ephemera such as postcards, advertisements and photographs. An overview of the use of parade floats in Saratoga Springs' floral parades is provided. The use of parade floats from the Mardi Gras Carnival celebrations of New Orleans, Louisiana in Saratoga Springs' floral parades is discussed.
