- Abstract
The article reports on a 2017 national survey in Australia on physiotherapists' practice and perceptions of patient education. Topics discussed include the perceived importance of patient education in effective health care, the time spent in and frequency of the process, and its delivery and evaluation. Results show that personalised verbal and written information and instruction to patients are often used, and that lack of therapist-patient rapport is a significant barrier.
