- Abstract
The authors offer a response to a commentary on their paper "Comparison of Fickian and Temporally Nonlocal Transport Theories Over Many Scales in an Exhaustively Sampled Sandstone Slab," published in "Water Resources Research." The factors enhancing the effects of bouyancy differences are outlined, including low Peclet numbers and distant boundaries. They explain why the classical advection-dispersion equation underperformed in an experiment by K. A. Klise and colleagues.
