The article defines Native intellectualism, which is about interrogating popular discourse on Native people. Topics discussed include the feature of "The Daily Show" on racism that happened behind the scenes of the shoot of Washington sports team, the piece of Native American Migizi Pensoneau regarding his experience on attending the Washington game published in "Missoula Independent," and the address of Native studies scholar Elizabeth Cook-Lynn during the 1998 Native Studies Conference.
