The article offers information on the federal laws regulating the technology development, methods for collection and environmental impact of the marine hydrokinetic energy and wave energy in the state of Florida. It analyzes the role of some regulatory agencies in the energy development projects include the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
