- Abstract
The article discusses the Teacher Professional Continuum, which encompasses many aspects of teaching, including mentoring, professional development, recruitment, and retention. The PRISE Research Group examined the literature on teacher professional continuum to define what is, what should be, and how to achieve goals in recruiting, renewing, and retaining high school science teachers in the state of Texas. The author examines methods that can be used to determine best practice for education in the state of Texas.
