- Abstract
The article focuses on the Family, Infant and Preschool Program Early Head Start (FIPP/EHS) intervention program. The program features strategies aimed at strengthening caregivers with supporting child growth and development within natural learning contexts. Also described is the model used by FIPP/EHS to promote child social-emotional competencies called Between Us: Asset-Based Connections. Among the activities under the program are the identification of child competencies and caregivers' use of strategies that result in social-emotional interactions.
