- Abstract
In some cases, the symptoms of the primary prolapse simply return, but often the symptoms are not the same as before surgery [[3]]. Mesh rectopexy is a safe and effective surgical intervention for the treatment of (internal) rectal prolapse, with low recurrence and complication rates [[2]]. A recent article from Finland reported good results of minimally invasive redo surgery for recurrent complaints after minimally invasive ventral mesh rectopexy, although complication rates were high [[4]].
