Title
Taxonomy: Aloha Mohoidae.
Abstract
The article discusses the five species of Hawaiian birds that had been classified as part of the taxonomic family Meliphagidae. Topics include an overview of research by Robert Fleischer and colleagues investigating the bird's, which are named Hawaiian honeyeaters and are extinct, classification. Researchers analyzed DNA sequences from museum specimens which indicated the birds belong to a group of songbirds called Passerida which includes warblers and wrens.
