- Abstract
The article reports on developments in the Royal Institution in Great Britain. After a $44 million restoration project, the building has reopened to acclaim with a café, bar and a hologram of English chemist and physicist Michael Faraday now greets visitors to the institution. Architects at Terry Farrell and Partners have redesigned the building to meet the new needs in which according to director Susan Greenfield, the management aims to position the institution at the centre of 21st century society.
