- Abstract
The current research aims at codifying the meta-knowledge test among middle school students. To achieve this goal, the researcher translated the test instructions and paragraphs from English to Arabic. The translation was then re-translated from Arabic into English and then presented to a group of specialists in English and made some adjustments in the light of their observations. The test instructions and their paragraphs were then presented to a group of experts in the educational and psychological sciences to ascertain the availability of the appropriate characteristics of these paragraphs and their alternatives in terms of form and content. In order to analyze the opinions of the experts in the test paragraphs, The value of a square (kai) is a function at the level of (05.0) which is equivalent to (80%) of the number of experts, and all the test paragraphs were logically valid for measuring what was put to measure The test was conducted on a random sample of 40 students randomly selected from middle school students. The instructions are clear and the time taken to answer the test is 15-22 minutes and an average of 18 minutes. The test was then applied to the sample of the statistical analysis of 250 students who were randomly selected from middle school students. In the analysis of the paragraphs, three scales were selected for selecting the paragraphs: difficulty level (0.20-0.80), discrimination coefficient (0.20) and more using the method of extreme groups in the total score, evidence of the veracity of the paragraph based on the correlation between the function of the degree of the paragraph and the whole degree of the test using the binary correlation coefficient, The stability of the test was obtained by the Vaccronbach method: the stability coefficient of the test (83.0) The results of the statistical analysis of the paragraphs were as follows: 1. The test consists in the final image of (50) paragraph out of (52) paragraph. 2. Two paragraphs were deleted and their sequences (7, 22). Thus, the final test consists of (50) sections applied to the sample of the derivation of the criteria of (300) students who were chosen by random random method of middle school students. Thus achieving the current research objective of deriving Iraqi standards for testing.
