- Title
COMPARISON OF MMPI SCORES OF MOTHERS OF ENURETIC AND CONTROL CHILDREN.
- Authors
Stehbens, James A.
- Abstract
The article presents a comparison of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) scores of mothers of eneuretic and control children. The eneuretic mothers scored significantly higher than the mothers of the control group on one scale, Paranoia (PA), suggesting that these mothers may be somewhat more sensitive and suspicious than controls. While this one significant finding may be a true difference in the adjustment status of these groups, it also could be due to chance factors. An equally plausible explanation is that the MMPI is not sufficiently sensitive to discriminate between these two groups.
