- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 41-year-old woman who was referred for Fluorine-18 Flurodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) for possible malignancy after an incidental discovery of multiple chest of lesions on CT. It states that the patient has a strong family of lung cancer. The importance of obtaining an accurate patient history prior to the commencement of earlier diagnosis on negated use of PET/CT is also emphasized.
