The article discusses the need for review and appeal in Crown land legislation in Victoria, Australia. It argues that public sector administrators must be accountable and that many of their decisions should be open to review and appeal; highlights some bizarre provisions in the law, such as the need for some proposals to go before Parliament for approval; and argues that Crown land law should be brought into the twenty-first century and be modernized.
