- Title
A Decade of Quantitating Cyanide in Aqueous and Blood Matrices Using Automated Cryotrapping Isotopic Dilution Static Headspace GC–MS.
- Authors
Loconto, Paul R.
- Abstract
The article presents insights concerning the principles and practice of utilizing and improving the original method to determine cyanide at trace concentration levels in human blood. Information about the use of automated cryogenic trapping isotope dilution static headspace gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), is provided. Also examined is the impact of analyte gas-liquid headspace partitioning and secondary equilibria (pH) from dilute solutions (Henry's law) in blood matrices.
