The article focuses on a study regarding the pathogenecity of classical swine fever virus (CSFV) and immune responses in pigs. The study reveals that overproduction of cytokines such as interferon-alpha (IFN) and interleukin-6 results in viral replication that is responsible for the pathogen city such as leukopenia and thrombocytopenia in pigs infected with CSFV.
