- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the mutations which brought fluoroquinolone (FQ) resistance in mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB). The study investigates the FQs which are considered as a significant second-line anti-TB agents and widely used class of synthetic antibacterial agents. The study reveals that the amino acid substitutions in DNA gyrase subunits were found in the clinical isolates of the FQ resistant mycobacterium TB.
