- Abstract
The article reports on a paradigm which has been proposed in 2012 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and would expand patient access to more nonprescription drugs, and discusses a comparative effective research initiative which will be funded in 2012 and 2013 by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute. In the article the author offers her opinions on the paradigm and on the institute's initiative.
