- Abstract
Motivational processes are found as a common and frequent denominator in various investigations of failure, learning and performance. The changing teaching scenarios demand developing solutions for the university context. For this, it is essential to focus on the training of students who are self-regulated, reflective and capable of managing their own learning resources, specifically, capable of managing their motivation. Regardless of the fact that there are various instruments for the study of the motivational process, in the framework of self-regulation of learning, their availability for this purpose is still insufficient. In this direction, the present research aimed to identify initial indicators for the design of a motivational self-regulation evaluation scale in university students. A qualitative research paradigm was assumed. The methods for collecting information were documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews with key informants. The results of the study provide initial indicators for the design of the instrument such as the existing evaluation scales and questionnaires are limited to some of the processes involved in motivational regulation or the evaluation of motivational strategies, being Motivational processes are found as a common and frequent denominator in various investigations of failure, learning and performance. The preliminary analysis carried out provides an integrating proposal that offers the possibility of building instruments for the evaluation of motivational selfregulation, which explicitly include both the phases of the self-regulatory process, linked to motivation, as well as its processes, variables and dimensions.
