The purpose of this paper is the discussion of a proposal by Liberman (1971, pp. I30-162) for the reform of the system of enterprise incentive funds in Soviet industry. An inspection of Liberman's proposal seems to suggest that the economics of the labour-managed firm is relevant in this context and that, if his scheme were adopted, theories of the labour-managed firm might have a role to play in analysis of the Soviet industrial enterprise.
