- Abstract
The article discusses the court case Riley v. Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., wherein the First Circuit, joining the Second, Third and Ninth Circuits, found that the plaintiff's claim against Met Life was barred by the statute of limitations. Riley sued Met Life in March 2012 under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), asking for increased long-term disability (LTD) payments to reflect his managerial salary.
