- Title
Pensions Governance: The Control of Occupational Pension Schemes in the UK and Germany.
- Abstract
The article presents information on the research paper "Pension Governance: The Control of Occupational Pension Schemes in the UK and Germany," by Ralf Nocker, appeared in the April issue of the "Journal of Pensions Management." Pension governance can be used as a conceptual basis for a comparison of occupational pension plans in Great Britain and Germany. Analysis of pension governance practices in Great Britain and Germany shows that there are more similarities than differences between the countries' approaches. To some degree, member-nominated trustees and dedicated consultation procedures used in Great Britain are similar to comanagement and codetermination practices used in Germany in its pension vehicles.
